Fun Fold Flap Band with Foil Frenzy Designer Series Specialty Paper

Stampin' Up! Lovely Inside & Out stamp set, Lovely Words Thinlits, Foil Frenzy Specialty Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Studio

I’ve got a fun fold card to share today.  I call it a Flap Band Fun Fold because of the way the card opens up (we’ll get to that in a minute).  The card features the Lovely Inside & Out Bundle which is the stamp set of the same name and the Lovely Words Thinlits.  I also used the Foil Frenzy Specialty Designer Series Paper which is really cool when you see it in person. The Foil Frenzy DSP  comes in 12″ x 12″ sheets that are thick Kraft Paper on one side and the other sides are 3 different patterns (chevron as shown on this card, stripes and polka dots) in Berry Burst as shown on this card and also Lemon Lime Twist, Tangerine Tango and Soft Sky.

For the front of the card I used the Layered Oval Framelits and the Stitched Shapes Framelits as well as the Lovely Words Thinlits.  I added a couple of the Glitter Enamel Dots to add just a bit more sparkle. The band that goes across the card has a piece of the new Powder Pink 3/8″ Shimmer Ribbon on it.

In this photo you can see that the band that has the ribbon on it that went across the card front flips to the right to reveal a hidden message.

Pocketful of Sunshine Gift Packaging

Stampin' Up! Pocketful of Sunshine stamp set, Stampin' Studio

Today’s project is a little gift I received from my sister Peggy while I was in the hospital last week.  She used the Pocketful of Sunshine stamp set  and the coordinating Pocket Framelits.

Directions:

Bermuda Bay : 2 pieces 3 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ — stamp pocket & stitching lines on both pieces — add words to only one pocket.  Cut out with coordinating Pocket Framelit.  Put Tear & Tape on all pocket flaps
Bermuda Bay: 1″ x 7 3/4″ — score at 2 1/4″, 3 3/4″ & 5 1/4″.  Attach to one pocket — when completed, attach second pocket.  Punch holes with 1/8″ handheld punch
Whisper White 1/8″ Sheer Ribbon: 8″ – poke each end to the inside of the pocket box to make a handle
Bermuda Bay: 2 pieces 7/8″ x 7/8″ – attach to inside of pocket box over the ribbon (just finishes off inside and holds ribbon in place)
Whisper White: 2 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ — stamp Flower Shop flower with Bermuda Bay ink — Punch out with Pansy Punch.  Put Rhinestone in the center and attach the flower to the box with a dimensional.

My Health Update

I’m gaining strength, but honestly everything is exhausting and up until Thursday I’ve taken 2 naps each day.  I’m no longer taking any pain medications so my mind is much clearer.  Friday I walked 2.6 miles and I’m thrilled with that.  Today my goal: 3 miles!

Many of you know Dave, he’s quite a character in public.  I hear over and over again from friends and acquaintances, “Oh boy, Tina, are you ever lucky to have Dave” (insert sarcastic tone here).  Well, the Dave that I see at home when no one else is around is so sweet and loving and unselfish, and comforting, I say with great conviction and love, that “yes, I am very lucky to have Dave.”

All of this may be way more information than you wanted to hear. But I’ve had so many inquiries, I thought this would be an easy way to get the news out.  Most importantly though, I wanted you all to know how special you are to me and Dave.  Your love and support of me and my business has allowed for so many fascinating adventures.  I treasure you all.

Hello Floral Statements

Stampin' Up! Floral Statements stamp set, Stampin' Studio

We made this card last week at club and I heard over and over again how many in attendance saw the Floral Statements stamp set in the Annual catalog but it didn’t do anything for them.  This happens to me fairly often until I see a sample made with a certain product and then I’m sold on it.  I really liked this stamp set when I first saw it and I knew I could show others how wonderful this stamp set is.  So, that’s what happened with this card.  I sold quite a few of them at club.  The comments I heard were most were something like, “I didn’t know I needed that”.   I started the card out by stamping “Hello” floral image on Whisper White card stock with Basic Black Ink and then water colored flowers in Calypso Coral and leaves in Pear Pizzazz with the Aqua Painter by picking up ink from the lid of the stamp pad.  Next I wrapped the 6″ piece of ribbon around the top edge of Whisper White card stock securing it on the back side with Mini Glue Dots.  I tied a bow with the 8″ piece of ribbon and attached it to the front of the card with a Mini Glue Dot.  Finally, I attached the Whisper White piece to the Basic Black piece and attached these layers to the front of the Calypso Coral card base which had been folded on the score line, and added Pearl Basic Jewels in the center of the flowers.
