Peace on Earth with the Carols of Christmas Bundle

Stampin' Up! Carols of Christmas stamp set, Card Front Builder Thinlits, Stampin' Studio

So I think this is my favorite card I created with the Carols of Christmas Bundle.  First off Night of Navy with Whisper White is always eye catching.  It’s really hard to see in the photo, but there’s a layer of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper under the top Night of Navy piece, so that the trees and the moon and starts sparkle.  The sentiment was stamped with Versamark then heat embossed with White Embossing Powder.  All the rest of the card is the Card Front Builder Thinlits, so let’s talk about that!  Check out the sweet border around the Whisper White  card stock.  that was cut out with the stunning Card Front Builder Thinlits and so was the tree and the border of stars and the moon.  I mean really, isn’t it stunning?!?  What’s that you say? You don’t own the Carols of Christmas Bundle yet?  Well fear not my friends…just click on the photos below to order it before they go on back order.

Deck the Halls with the Carols of Christmas Bundle

Stampin' Up! Carols of Christmas stamp set, Card Front Builder Thinlits, Stampin' Studio

I expected, the Carols of Christmas Bundle, which is available in August as a sneak peek to the Holiday Catalog, has been selling like hotcakes!  You’re loving it big time!  Today’s card is super simple, with a Whisper White card base followed by a layer of Cherry Cobbler card stock.  I embossed a piece of Old Olive card stock with the Holly Embossing Folder and attached a strip of the Be Merry Designer Series Paper along the bottom and a piece of Cherry Cobbler Double Stitched Ribbon above that.  For the sentiment I colored directly on the stamp with Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive Stampin’ Write Markers then stamped it on the Whisper White piece.  The holly berries were also colored with markers then cut out with the Card Front Builder Thinlits and were popped up with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

This or That: Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper

For the past 2 months I’ve been enjoying using the Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper.  I’ve used many of the 12 prints found in the package, but I just couldn’t bear to cut up the print with all the different animals celebrating birthdays…until now.  I decided to play around and really feature the critters on a card,  So, I thought this would be the perfect time to debut a new weekly (or nearly every week) blog post that I’m calling This or That Thursday.  So each Thursday I plan to post two cards using the exact same layout, stamp set and accessories…the only difference will be that I’ll change up the colors and or paper.  Your job is to then let me know which you like better.  Do you like “this” one or “that” one?  So here we go….

Stampin' Up! Birthday Delivery stamp set, Birthday Memories DSP, Stampin' Studio

For the first card I used Pacific Point for the base of the card with a layer of Lemon Lime Twist that’s been embossed with the Polka Dot Basic Embossing Folder.  Next a 1″ strip of the striped print and a 2″ wide banner of polka dots from the Birthday Memories DSP.  Keeping with the circle theme I cut out a circle with the Stitched Shapes Framelits and stamped the sentiment from the Birthday Delivery stamp set in Pacific Point ink.  Then a bit of fussy cutting around the adorable bunny rabbit carrying a birthday cake.  I popped up with some Stampin’ Dimensionals and added a few of the Enamel Shapes.

For the second card I used a Real Red card base with a layer of Whisper White.  The red printed strip across the top and the crumb cake print of the banner also come from the Birthday Memories DSP.  Notice the layout is exactly the same as the first card including the Stitched Shapes Circle.  The sentiment is in Real Red and this time I fussy cut the poodle and popped her up off the card.  So now… which do you like better … the one on the left or the one on the right?
