Watch it Wednesday: Reindeer Treat Holders

Yesterday I shared an idea for dressing up your Halloween Treats (you can see that post HERE) and today it’s time for Watch it Wednesday:  Reindeer Treat Holders!  I think these little fellows are so darned cute and the best part is they’re really quick to make.  You can get together with some friends and decorate a bunch of them assembly line style.

Decorate Halloween Treats with a Belly Band

Oh what a glorious day I had in my Stampin’ Studio on Sunday.  Dave left on his sailing trip, so I treated myself to a day of playing and creating with items in the Holiday Catalog.  I have a few events this week that I needed to get designing for.  My Stamp & Go Club is starting up again tonight so I’ve got 3 fun cards for that.  On Saturday I’ve got a big demonstrator event where everyone gets to make 20 different cards using new stuff from the Holiday Catalog and next week I’ve got my Holiday Catalog Kick Off Class for customers.  I can’t share any of those projects with you yet, so I thought you’d enjoy a couple ideas for your Halloween treats.   I saw these last weekend at a demonstrator event I attended and thought they were simply adorable.  You can decorate Halloween treats with a Belly Band and a cute stamped image.

It’s a busy time of year as we transition from summer into fall and getting a head start on things is one way to stay ahead.  All you  do to make these adorable treats is wrap a 1″ wide piece of coordinating card stock around each piece of candy of your choice and secure the ends together (that’s a belly band).  Next stamp and punch out or die cut your favorite image and attach it to the belly band with a dimensional and you’re done.

Spooky Fun

They look so impressive in a basket with a bunch of them.  Go ahead and give it a try and let your inner Martha Stewart come out.

Maculine card featuring From Land to Sea

Every year my husband Dave goes on a week long sailing trip with a group of guys.  He left this morning to sail the Apostle Island in Lake Superior.  He always enjoys getting away this time of year and he sure deserves the the break from all is hard work on our home remodel.  Plumbing issues over the weekend, but that’s another story.  I’m tucking this card into his bags so he knows how great he is. It’s a great masculine card featuring From Land to Sea stamp set

The card starts with a Basic Black card base cut 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″.  For the background a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Whisper White was run through the Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder and a 5 1/4″ x 1 ” piece of the Playful Palette Designer Series Paper Stack was attached to the left side of the card.  Next a 5 1/4″ x 2″ piece of Delightful Dijon was stamped in Delightful Dijon ink with a lined image from Gorgeous Grunge.  The light house and boat wheel from the stamp set called From Land to Sea were stamped in Basic Black and cut out with the Layering Circle Framelits.  Notice the light shining in the light house?  Its the “burst image from Kinda Eclectic stamped in So Saffron ink.
