I thought you might want to see some more product from the Holiday Catalog, so today’s card features the Paisley & Posies stamp set and coordinating Paisley Framelits Dies.

Paisleys & Posies Bundle

Keeping it simple again today with a scattering of paisleys from the Paisley & Posies stamp set.  They’re stamped in Night of Navy and Soft Suede on a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Very Vanilla.  The sentiment comes from the same stamp set.  I really appreciate when there are sentiments included in a great image stamp set.  Next a piece of the 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon was wrapped around the card stock then layered on to the Soft Suede card base which is 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″.  The stunning embellishment on this card is the Copper Foil Paisley.  Be sure to put the Copper Foil Sheets on your next order with me because it is stunning.  The paisley was die cut with the Paisley Framelit Dies and attached to the card with Mini Glue Dots.  Keep in mind you can purchase the Paisley & Posies stamp set and the Paisley Framelits separately or do what I did and order the bundle because it will save you 10%.

Make it Simple Saturday with Cookie Cutter Halloween

I sure hope you’re having a great Labor Day Weekend, it’s supposed to be beautiful weather here in Wisconsin.  We”ll be spending the weekend working on the remodel of our house.  It’s been almost 2 months since we started and it’s coming along nicely, I just wish it was done!  Since we’re doing 95% of the work our selves it’s taking longer than if we had hired someone.  No worries, though it’s looking beautiful and we can’t wait to sit back and enjoy it.  But there’s always a few minutes for stamping, in fact it’s time for a simple card for Make it Simple Saturday and we’re doing it with the Cookie Cutter Halloween stamp set.

Today’s Color Palette

Colors (60)

Today’s color palette comes directly from the Petals & Paisleys Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Start out with a 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ card base scored in half.  Next layer a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Night of Navy and Very Vanilla cut 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″.  The scarecrow from Cookie Cutter Halloween was stamped in Delightful Dijon and colored in with a blender pen and Mint Macron and Delightful Dijon ink.  The sentiment stamped in Night of Navy ink comes from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.  The finish touch is a piece of the designer paper cut 7/8″ x 3 7/8″ which is layered on a 1″ x 3 7/8″ piece of Night of Navy card stock.  Don’t forget to wrap a piece of the Mint Macron ribbon from the 3/8″ Ribbon Trio Pack around the layer and tie in a bow.  There you have it… a nice simple card for fall that’s perfect to send for so many reasons.

So let’s talk about how fun this card is!  Some splatters of Basic Grey and Pumpkin Pie with the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set create the perfect background for the “pumpkins”.  The Swirly Bird stamp set and Swirly Scribbles die (sold in a bundle) make the focal point for the card with the three “pumpkins”.  Now for the touch of new stuff…the Spooky Fun stamp set and coordinating Halloween Scenes Edgelits  (you guessed it, they’re sold in a bundle)  were all that was needed for the sentiment on the banner and the little bats flying around.
