Fun Fold Birthday Wishes Card Set

Project 4

We thought we’d throw a little twist in for the forth project at our Stampin’ Sisters retreat this past weekend.  We created a set of three cards featuring Fun Fold Cards.  Everyone received a package of the Bakers twine Combo Pack to take home with them.

Stampin' Sisters Retreat

The great thing about a Fun Fold Card is the unexpected.

Stampin' Sisters Retreat

This card was so simple to make but the unique fold had everyone buzzing about making more of them.  The color combinations in the It’s Your Party Designer Series paper are so fun and festive.

Stampin' Sisters Retreat

The sentiment and stamped images come from the Party Wishes stamp set and were used on all of the cards in this set.

Check out the “unexpected” in this card.  The pop out center was created with the Big Shot and the Party Pop-Up Thinlits Die.

This last card features the the Gate Fold opening on the front of the card.  The Deco Label Framelits make the perfect place to display the sentiment.

Surprise!!! When you open the card the little black “curtains” open up to reveal the make a wish sentiment.

Stampin' Sisters Retreat

We couldn’t stop with just three cards in this project grouping, so we made this candy bar wrapper.  I love how the Party Punch Pack (balloon, cupcake and candle) coordinate perfectly with the images from Party Wishes.

Stampin' Sisters RetreatA little pull on the Bakers Twine slides the Hershey Bar right out of the sleeve.  Gotta love that!

Thanks so much for coming back each day, I rally appreciate it.  We’re only half way through all the projects from retreat.  See you back here tomorrow.

White on White Card Set

Project 3

I don’t know why, but there’s something soothing about a white on white card.  This set of three cards was the third project we made at Stampin’ Sisters Retreat last weekend.  These cards featured the Botanical Builders Framelits and the Softly Falling Embossing Folder.  Everyone also received a package of the White Perfect Accents.

Stampin' Sisters Retreat

Each card base is the Thick Whisper White Card Stock which gives great strength to the base of the card.  Next is a layer of Smoky Slate Card Stock followed by Whisper White layer that’s embossed with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder.

The Big Shot was used to cut pieces the flowers and leaves from the Botanical Builders Framelits which are attached to a layer punched out with the 2 1/2″ Circle Punch.  This card would make a perfect Wedding Card when stamped with the sentiment from Petite Pairs.

Stampin' Sisters Retreat

All that was switched out for this card were the individual die cut pieces and instead of the circle I added a label cut from the Lots of Labels Framelits.  Once again Petite Pairs adds the perfect sentiment for an understated Sympathy Card.

The Birthday Card in this trio has a banner which was punched with the Triple Banner Punch and of course the sentiments are from the Petite Pairs stamp set.  One great thing about this stamp set is that there is a coordinating “inside greeting” to go with each of the sentiments on the front of the card.

Just in case you’re wondering, I’ve got lot’s more to share with you tomorrow.  The next project are some awesome Fun Fold Cards and an extra treat.

Going Global Card Set

Project 2

At our Stampin’ Sisters Retreat we started out the morning on Saturday with this great set of masculine cards featuring the Going Global stamp set.  Everyone received a bag with all of the parts and pieces for making the cards as well as a package of Linen Thread and Neutral Candy Dots to take home.

The compass image takes center stage on this card when it’s layered with circles cut out with the Circle Framelits.  I also love the use of the Washi Label Punch for the sentiment.

Stampin' Sisters Retreat

The fact that so many of the Stampin’ Up! products coordinate (like the Lucky Stars Embossing Folder, and the Confetti Stars Punch) made creating this card a piece of cake.

Stampin' Sisters RetreatThe use of the Go Wild Designer Series Paper Stack gave a bold background image while the World Traveler Embossing Folder added texture to this card.

Stampin' Sisters Retreat

The star of this card has to be the layered star cut out with the Big Shot and the Star Framelits.  We turned it into a shooting star by adding the “tail” of ribbon to it.

Stampin' Sisters Retreat

This card keeps it simple by focusing on the sentiment which was “fussy” cut by hand and then layered on a piece of Lost Lagoon card stock which was punched out with the Sweetheart Punch.

Stampin' Sisters Retreat

The layers of labels were cut out with the Lots of Labels Framelits but what I love best about this card is the banner.  The full image was stamped once on the Sahara Sand label and then again on a piece of Hello Honey card stock.  We “fussy” cut the banner out and attached it on top of the Sahara Sand label with Stampin’ Dimensionals to make it pop.

Tomorrow we’re on to project 3 which is a set of “White in White” cards I think you’re really going to like.  See you then!
