Share the Fun!

I received the wonderful new Annual Catalog right and you guessed it…I packed it in my carry on so I could make out my wish list. The catalog will be available for all to order from starting June 2nd….

… but if you’d like to get a copy of your own to drool over before it goes live you can!!  I prefer to have my catalog spiral bound and if you’ve had one before, you’re going to want one again.  Place a $35 order between Monday, May 11th and Sunday, May 17th and I will give you a FREE copy of the NEW Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog and I will have it SPIRAL BOUND for you at no cost!  This special is while I am gone to Hawaii with Stampin’ Up!, so you can either go to my online store to place the order www.stampinstudio.com or email me your order and I’ll place the order as soon as I return so you’ll get credit and get a spiral bound catalog from me.

Here’s my Pre-order of new product from the catalog.  As a demonstrator before the catalog goes live, Stampin’ Up! gives us a small list of the items we can pre-order.  The new in-colors are really pretty.  I saw pictures of them and liked them but they’re much prettier in person.  New ribbons and papers and punches oh my!

Living the Life I Imagined

I received these in the mail a few weeks ago from Stampin’ Up!  They’re our luggage tags, itinerary and travel documents for the Stampin’ Up! Grand Vacation to Hawaii!  Can you believe we get to go to Hawaii for FREE?!?
What started out 11 1/2 yeas ago as a way for me to get a discount on Stampin’ Up! product as turned into the most amazing adventure.  By day I am a Patient Coordinator/Dental Hygienist…but when I’m not at my day job, I get to create and share paper crafting ideas and earn amazing trips.  Sounds great doesn’t it?

I have earned these trips with Stampin’ Up! nearly every year since I joined and I get asked about them a lot, so I thought I’d share for those with inquiring minds.  Here are the questions I get asked most often:

1.  How do you win the trip?  The trip is not won, it is earned.  It’s a lot of hard work, but it’s also a lot of fun.  The earning period runs from July 1st though June 30th of the following year.  If we have accumulated 40,000 points the trip is ours!  Points are earned by sales one dollar = 1 point and also through promotions in our teams.
2.  Can you take someone with you and what does that cost?  The trip is for two people all expenses paid so there is no cost to share these vacations with the ones we love.  Dave gets to come with me every year as he puts up with me and really is a huge help with my business as I have a Stampin’ Studio at his office.
3. How many classes or stamping do you have to do on these trips?  This is first and foremost a vacation for all of us, so even though it is a Stampin’ Up! event, we don’t stamp or take classes.  We can do what ever we want.  Stampin’ Up! organizes some get-together’s during the trip which are always fun but we are not required to attend any of them if we don’t want to.
4. What trips have you earned in the past?  I’ve earned week long vacations to:
Mexican Riviera (Cruise)
Panama Canal (Cruise)
Bermuda (Cruise)
Hawaii (Land Trip)
Disney (Land Trip)
Fiji (Land Trip)
Eastern Caribbean (Cruise)
Hawaii (Land Trip this year)
and in May 2016 we’ll be going on a cruise to the Mediterranean (Spain, Italy & France)
…and the question I get asked most….
5. If Dave doesn’t want to go can I go with you?  You bet, I always have a waiting list going in case Dave changes his mind about going…fat chance of that but you never know.

So the past few days I’ve been getting ready….got my mani & pedi, laundry done, house cleaned, bags packed, stamp class for when I return is done, and I’ve got blog posts scheduled so you’ll still be getting your stampin’ fix while I’m gone.
One last thing, It’s because of you, my loyal stampers that I am able to live the life many have only imagined.  I am blessed to have you in my life, whether you are a close personal friend that is able to attend my classes and parties or a silent friend that enjoys my blog posts.  Please know you all hold a special place in my heart.  I’ll share photos of the trip when I return.

About the Label

I must confess, sometimes I buy stamp sets and don’t get around to using them right away.

This stamp set called “About the Label” and I chose it with my hostess benefits a while back because its adorable, and then…. I forgot about it.  Until… it came out on the retiring list of products.  I figured I’d better play with it before it’s gone for good.  The tag on the bag is stamped in Melon Mambo and punched out with the Little Labels Punch Pack (also retiring).  It makes for a quick embellishment on the card.  The Melon Mambo Designer Series Paper comes from the Bight Family Stack (also retiring).

Here’s the fun surprise with this card…check out the fold!
Card stock is cut 11″ x 5 1/2″ and scored at each end at 2″ and 3 3/4″.
You just want to make sure when you put the card together you only put adhesive on the one side of the matted stamped layer on the card or you’re not going to be able to open your fancy folded card.
