Did you realize today is Cinco De Mayo, which means the 5th of May?  It’s also my great nephew Scott’s 8th birthday.
 
 
I used “Hooray It’s Your Day” for the sentiment and the Lego’s are from the stamp set called “Boys will be Boys.”  Of course I have to use some of the retiring product one last time before they’re gone for good: Party Pennants Die was used  for the banner, the Finishing Touches Edgelits were used for the zigzag trim, and I used the Daffodil Delight DSP from the Brights Collection DSP Stack.

Yesterday we celebrated my great nephew’s First Communion.
 
 
Since I don’t have any stamp sets for First Communion I got out the “Trust God” stamp set which has the sentiment God Bless You.  This sentiment is the perfect size to fit in the sign that the bear from Cheerful Critters holds. The On Film Framelits was a perfect way to accentuate the event.  The stars are punched from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack and then I used the Epoxy Stickers over the stars to give a little dimension.  This same card could be used for any occasions for a young boy just by swapping out the sentiment on the sign.
