Blended Butterfly

With the discontinuation of the Blendabilities Markers, many of you are asking “how do we color and shade our images”?   It’s super simple and you’ll get stunning results with our Blender Pens.

I stamped the butterfly from “Natures Perfection” (a FREE Sale-a-bration product) on whisper White card stock with Blackberry Bliss ink.  Next I used the Blender Pen and simply colored from the inked part of the image to the white part of the wing.  This pulled he ink from the darkest part of the wing giving me a lighter shade of the Blackberry Bliss.  Notice how the lower part of the wings are a medium shade of Blackberry Bliss?  This was achieved by touching the Blender Pen tip directly onto the ink pad and picking up some ink.  I then colored the lower portion of the wing.  It’s an incredibly easy way to get varying shades of one color.

There are only 10 days of Sale-a-bration left, so be sure you don’t miss out on the exclusive and FREE product.  March 31st is the last day to earn them.

Berry Basket Planter

Today is the first official FULL DAY of SPRING !!!!  It’s been a long winter in Wisconsin and it’s been delightful the past few weeks having the snow all melt away and the crocus flowers  bloom outside my door.  I’m sure we’ll have more dustings of snow yet before the nice weather is here to stay, but this time of year I’m confident that it won’t last long.

For todays very “spring-y” card I used the “Petal Potpourri” stamp set and coordinating “Flower Medallion Punch”.  The “planter” is actually our Berry Basket Die.  I placed  a 3 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ pieces of card stock on one end of the Berry Basket Die.  This cuts the correct shape I needed and it also scores a flap the get folded behind.  Super simple.

If you haven’t played around with the Berry Basket Die, you should.  It makes adorable little baskets, perfect for Easter or storing other little treasures.

Love you more that chocolate!

You know me and my LOVE for chocolate!  You can probably imagine how I squealed when I saw this sentiment in the “Lovely Amazing You” photopolymer stamp set.  There are other wonderful sentiments as well, but of course this one is my favorite.  So let me tell you how to build the chocolate candy bar:
I used a piece of Chocolate Chip card stock 3 1/4″ x 2 3/8″ for the base of the bar.  Next I punched out six squares with the 1″ square punch and sponged around the edges with matching ink.  These squares were attached to the bar with Dimensionals.  Finally I couldn’t resist taking a bite out of the candy bar with the 1 1/4″ scallop circle punch.  It’s making me wish I had a stash of chocolate in my stampin’ studio.
