Toil & Trouble Halloween Suite

Yesterday I shared with you the displays from our Stampin’ Sisters Holiday Hoopla and today I wanted to share some of the close up pictures I took so that you can see the fabulous creations.  First up is the Toil & Trouble Suite which features fun and whimsical Halloween images, lovely designer series paper, sparkly ribbon and more.  Peggy used this suite to create some festive cards, an adorable framed art piece, a scrapbook page and a treat box.  Let’s take a closer look.

This 8″ x 8″ shadow box frame makes the stamped images pop.  Notice lots of layers which add depth and interest.

Don’t you love the look of the Tin Tile Embossing Folder on the Black Foil Sheet for the background?

The Buffalo Plaid stamp makes the perfect background for this card.  Each of the images are part of the Toil & Trouble Designer Series Paper and were cut out with the coordinating Cauldron Framelits (except the frog which was cut out by hand)

Here we have the Swirls & Curls Embossing Folder for the texture in the background and the Spooky Bats Punch came in handy for cutting out the bat.

I had to dig through a bunch of stuff to locate this photo of my kids from about 20 years ago when they were dressed up for Halloween.  I knew this picture would be perfect with the Toil & Trouble Suite.  I love how great the images coordinated with the photo.

Look at the cute Baker’s Box that she colored Granny Apple Green and filled with some yummy treats.  That adorable spider web (I can’t believe I just said that…) it is cut out with the Cauldron Framelits…and don’t you love the sparkly Black Glittered ribbon?

This adorable kitty is from the Trick or Tweet stamp set, but it goes so well with the display, besides it also uses the Toil & Trouble DSP and the same Glittered Ribbon from the suite.

Be sure to come back tomorrow, when I’ll share close up photos of Kim’s Country Lane Suite Display.

Stampin’ Sisters Holiday Hoopla

OMG, you guys, I had so much fun this past weekend at an event Peggy and I hosted for other demonstrators.  We called the event the Stampin’ Sisters Holiday Hoopla and it showcased products from the Holiday catalog.  Everyone got a homemade Christmas lights cut out cookie when they arrived.

We started out the event on Friday night with an optional Shoe Box Swap.  For this everyone designed a card and brought enough supplies for everyone to make their card.  Then on Saturday, we had guest speakers and display stampers and lots of make & takes and a framed art project.

Janice Weightman gave a great business presentation she called “All Systems Go” which was about having a plan of action to build a consistent business.  She also brought 3 huge display boards of cards she collected from swaps, so there was tons of inspiration for all.

Peggy Murwin (my sister) made a great display using the Toil & Trouble Suite and she shared how she focuses on Suites in her business.

Katie Campbell, my niece, showcased the Santa’s Workshop Suite in her impressive display.  She talked about her love for Christmas and how the products in this suite are so user friendly classes with beginning stampers.

My display featured the All is Bright Mega Suite which encompassed not only the Merry Christmas to All Bundle but also the Making Christmas Bright stamp set and coordinating Christmas Bulb Builder Punch.  I spoke about finding your passion with your business.  My passion has always been creating great experiences through my retreats, classes and other events (like the cruise retreat I’m hosting in January)

I may have to take a short break from blogging as I’m having some major problems with my computer and it has to go in for servicing tomorrow.  Hopefully they won’t need it for long and I can get back into sharing more up close photos from Stampin’ Sisters Holiday Hoopla!

All is Bright Suite

I’ve been waiting for the Holiday catalog to start before I shared this card.  I made it right after returning from the Alaska Cruise for a swap I was in for cruise achievers.  This card uses the All is Bright Suite of products.  We were given the Merry Christmas to All stamp set and the coordinating Merry Christmas Thinlits as well as the All is Bright Designer Series Paper and the Swirls & Curls Embossing Folder

Stampin' Up! All is Bright Suite, Merry Christmas to All stamp set, All is Bright DSP, Stampin' Studio

I started out with Thick Very Vanilla cardstock for the base of the card.  Next was a 2″ x 4″ piece of the pretty gold & silver ornaments print from the All is Bright DSP followed by 1″ x 4″ of Gold Foil Paper and finally a 2-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Very Vanilla that I ran through the Swirls & Curls Embossing Folder.  The focal point started out with a piece of Very Vanilla cut out with the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  I then heat embossed the sentiment from the Merry Christmas to All stamp set with Gold Embossing Powder.  This layer was popped up with dimensionals and embellished with a few Gold Metallic Pearls.
