Daisy Delight Sympathy Card

Stampin' Up! Daisy Delight stamp set, Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper, Stampin'

The Daisy Delight Stamp set is such a fun, fresh stamp set that you may not think of it for a sympathy card, but this just goes to show you how truly versatile the set is.  Once again I used some of the delightful daisy Designer Series paper and I kept this monochromatic (with Tranquil Tide and Pool Party) which I think works great for a sympathy card.  The sentiment comes fro the Rose Wonder stamp set but the floral images all come from the Daisy Delight set just like the card I posted HERE yesterday, the flowers them selves were stamp ed with ink then colored in with an Aqua Painter and more of the Pool Party ink.

Daisy Delight Fun Fold Card

Stampin' Up! Daisy Delight stamp set, Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Studio

Here’s the second card everyone made at the class Dave taught for me earlier in the week.  Once again, it uses the Daisy Delight stamp set and the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper.  I started out with a card base of Peekaboo Peach which was cut 4-1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 5-1/2.  Next I cut half of the front of the card off so that there’s only half the width to the front panel.  For the flowers, I stamped the stems in Pear Pizzazz and the flowers in Peekaboo Peach and then colored the flowers in with a Blender Pen and a bit of ink.  I took my color palette cue directly from the Delightful Daisy DSP.  The Lots of Labels Framelits framed up the focal point nicely.  The finishing touch was the bow made with the Peekaboo Peach 5/8″ Crinkled Seam Binding (oh how I love this ribbon, it ties such pretty bows).

Daisy Delight Thank You

Stampin' Up! Daisy Delight stamp set, Daisy Punch, Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Studio

Yesterday I posted about my husband Dave hosting my Delightful Daisy Suite Escape (if you missed that post you can see it HERE).  I wanted to start sharing with you the cards that were part of the class.  Today’s card has great texture in the background with the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder.  On top of that I used a piece of the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper, folding over the top edge of the paper so that the backside (green diagonal stripes) showed too.  The leaves were stamped in Old Olive ink on Old Olive card stock and cut out by had, while the flowers (two of them) were Stamped in Crushed Curry ink on Daffodil Delight card stock and punched out with the Daisy Punch.  I curled the petals of the flowers down with the Bone Folder and stacked the two flowers on top of one another with Stampin’ Dimensionals for a bit more depth before I added the Gold Faceted Gem which is also part of the Delightful Daisy Product Suite.  The finishing touch was adding the sentiment (also from the Daisy Delight stamp set) which was stamped on a 1″ piece of card stock and turned into a banner with the Banner Triple Punch.  Dave taught them well on this because we said everyone’s card looked just like mine.  More cards from the class coming up over the next few days.
