As for today’s card, I thought it would be fun to create a non-coffee card, so why not a cupcake?  The cupcake liner was created using the corrugated cup holder and the chocolate frosting is the “foam” image and die from the Coffee Cafe’ stamp set and Coffee Cup Framelits.  The sentiment, which I love, is from the More Than Chocolate stamp set.

Have you enjoyed my Suite Escape cards?  If so, you may be interested to know that in the near future I will be offering my Suite Escape classes via mail for those that don’t live local.  Stay tuned for more information on this.  Also if you have not yet signed up for my Stampin’ Studio News, I’d love for you to get registered.  When you do I’ll be emailing you a tutorial for my Boxed Note Card Set absolutely free.

Coffee Cafe’ Iced Coffee

Stampin' Up!, Coffee Cafe stamp set, Coffee Cup Framelits, Stampin' Studio

Today’s project from my Coffee Break Suite Escape features an iced coffee.  Here in Wisconsin it’s super hot and humid so an iced coffee is the only kind most people are drinking these days.  To give the look of a clear cup of iced coffee, I cut the cup and domed lid shapes out of Vellum Cardstock with the Coffee Cups Framelits.  Next I used Soft Suede ink with the Sponge Brayer and rolled the ink back and forth over the cup shape laying the ink darker at the bottom and lighter at the top of the cup.  The next step was to add the ice cubes stamped in Soft Suede.  Because the Vellum Cardstock doesn’t absorb Classic ink completely (some of it sits on top of the vellum) I attached the vellum to the card with the inked side down.  When attaching Vellum be sure to be aware of the adhesive placement as it can show through the front side.  I applied a very thin line of Multi-purpose Glue to the edges.  The striped straw was cut out of the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper (DSP) with on of the dies from the Coffee Cup Framelits.  The sentiment comes from the Coffee Cafe’ stamp set and then I added little ribbon banners using the Classic Weave Ribbon from the Coffee Break Suite.  The final touch was the addition of the Glitter Enamel Dots.

Coffee Cafe’ Bundle: Thanks a Latte

Stampin' Up! Coffee Break Suite, Coffee Cafe stamp set, Coffee Cup FramelitsStampin' Studio

What an adorable way to express your gratitude to someone!  The Coffee Cafe’ Bundle, which is part of the Coffee Break Suite, features the Coffee Cup Framelits and the Coffee Cafe’ stamp set.  Check out the corrugated wrap that’s around the cup of coffee.  This was created with the Coffee Cup Framelits and just one pass through the Big Shot, which cuts it an corrugates it at the same time.  The framelits also cut out the cup, lid and the oval shape, so there’s absolutely no fussy cutting on this card.  The coffee bean print is from the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper (DSP) and the card is finished off with the Crumb Cake Classic Weave Ribbon (both of these products are also part of the Coffee Break Suite.
